United Fire & Water arrived on site for an investigation of the mold. The mold was between the brick and sheetrock inside. The homeowner was not sure where the moisture was coming from. The affected drywall in the hallway bathroom and hall closet was removed. After additional investigation, it was identified that there was an ant problem. They ate the sill plates. The affected areas were HEPA vacuumed, and the studs were wiped down and sprayed with an antimicrobial.

United Fire & Water sent a technician to the home to provide an estimate and work with their insurance adjuster. Removal of flooring, the toilet, and the cabinets was needed. We removed the floor in the dining room and the wet bar area. Dehumidifiers and air movers were placed. The moisture assessment confirmed that the subfloors in the kitchen around the island were also wet. Subfloors in the living room, bedroom, bath, and side entrance were all removed. After demolition was completed, all remaining structures were treated with an antimicrobial, and HEPA vacuumed to mitigate future mold growth. Once air moisture levels returned to normal standards, the home was reconstructed.

We placed Velo air scrubber, axial air movers, and Phoenix dehumidifier. The cabinets and desk were removed from the office after finding significant microbial growth. We set containment around the entire wall as well as adjoining walls and flooring. All contaminated materials were disposed of and the remaining structures were cleaned and treated.
