A United Fire & Water professional arrived on-site, performed a moisture assessment, and provided the homeowner with a verbal estimate of the damages. The technician then proceeded with demolition on the floor, performing flood cuts, and then placed equipment to stabilize so no further deterioration occurred. They removed all affected shoe and base molding and bagged and disposed of debris and unsalvagable materials. The tech HEPA vacuumed, applied an anti-microbial agent, and wiped down all surfaces. They also removed the vanity and saved the countertop for replacement.

Dual axial air movers, dehumidifiers, and an air scrubber were placed to remove moisture and particles from the air and dry the remaining structures. Cleaning, HEPA vacuum, and utilization of an antimicrobial solution were done following the drying process to mitigate future mold growth.
