A professional from United Fire & Water went to inspect what was causing the leak. It was identified that a roof leak was contributing to the formation of condensation inside the vent duct coming from the microwave and draining down affecting the cabinet. Demolition was performed and the cabinet and microwave were removed. A small amount of mold was found on the sheetrock, it was removed and the area was treated with an antimicrobial solution. A new vent was installed in the attic connecting to the microwave. Drying equipment was placed in the attic to remove excess moisture. Once moisture levels returned to normal limits a new cabinet and microwave were installed.

Water is coming in multiple rooms on the third and fourth floors from the balcony on the fourth floor. Floors (carpet) and baseboards on the fourth floor against outside wall are wet. On the third floor, water is coming down from the fourth floor into the ceilings and down the walls on the third floor. Some offices on the third floor have wet carpets from water dripping from vents. Began setting equipment. I am 80% finished with the 3rd floor. I removed baseboard from the exterior walls of the hallway to the left after exiting the elevator. I set up equipment but containment will still need to be set in order to close the chamber. I set equipment in all offices on the 3rd floor but there will still need containment set to close the chamber as well. I am pulling 100% moisture readings in all areas tested on the third floor. We are trying to be non invasive but it may lead to removing wet material from the 3rd floor. I will need more equipment onsite in order to set up the 4th floor. More air movers will be needed. I plan to have the 4th floor finished by end of tomorrow.
