Jackson, Louisiana is a town in the East Feliciano parish. The population according to the 2020 United States Census is 3707 residents. This was a decrease from the 2010 census and the population has been on a downfall over the past two decades. The town was originally formed in 1815 as the seat of justice for Feliciano parish. Years later the parish was divided into east and west. The city was named after Andrew Jackson. United Fire & Water went to David's home and found wet laminate floors and carpet with standing water in the master bath, master bedroom, living room, front bathroom, front bedroom, and hallway. UF&W took infrared pictures, and moisture readings for affected materials, performed an initial DocuSketch, and set up 3 air scrubbers and 2 dehumidifiers for stabilization. The next day UF&W began demolition and set up drying equipment. Baseboards and crown molding, carpet, and padding were removed from the affected areas. An Injectadry system was set up in some areas to dry engineered hardwood flooring. After all remaining structures were dry, a HEPA vacuum was performed and all areas were treated with an anti-microbial solution to mitigate future mold growth.
