April 06, 2021 | Mandeville, LA

To effectively manage the restoration process in Mandeville, a containment area was established to separate the hallway from the rest of the home before any further demolition was conducted. One dehumidifier was removed from the hallway to optimize airflow, and a negative air fan was put in place prior to the removal of baseboards and drywall. The flooring in the living room, hallway, and laundry room was pulled up, with the exception of the flooring beneath the kitchen cabinets. While the house appeared relatively dry, our team recognized that extensive mold remediation would be necessary due to the strong odor indicative of significant growth. As part of our ongoing efforts in Mandeville, we reinstalled a dehumidifier in the back of the hallway and added an air scrubber to improve air quality. Given the potential for mold, air movers were not positioned in place. The containment was placed around the hole in the drywall at the source of the leak behind the refrigerator, and antimicrobial solutions were sprayed on the foundation and baseboards to inhibit mold growth. United Fire & Water is committed to providing effective water damage restoration services in Mandeville, LA, ensuring that homes are restored safely and efficiently. If you encounter similar water damage issues, trust our experienced team to deliver prompt and effective restoration solutions customized to your needs.
