Why did the customer contact us?
Solutions provided:
Our technicians quickly identified the source of the loss as the bathtub overflow and implemented a targeted drying plan for the Baton Rouge, LA property. We installed six Phoenix dual axial air movers and three X-Power axial air movers to increase airflow throughout the affected areas. One dehumidifier was placed in the upstairs bathroom to control moisture levels and support structural drying. The upstairs bathroom responded well, with materials drying efficiently and sill plates confirmed to be dry.
While progress was strong in the bathroom, moisture readings showed that the drywall in the staircase and kitchen remained saturated at 100%. To address this, we repositioned air movers along the staircase to improve airflow and accelerate the drying of the affected drywall. Once the upstairs bathroom reached acceptable moisture levels, the air movers and dehumidifier were removed from that area. This thorough water damage restoration process in Baton Rouge, LA helped ensure proper drying and reduced the risk of mold growth or long-term structural issues.
