Three baseboards were affected, and our team immediately began water mitigation to prevent further damage.
Solutions provided:
Our technicians removed the damaged baseboards and completed a 4-inch flood cut to access wet materials behind the walls. Moisture was also found in the sill plates, so set screws were placed for ongoing monitoring throughout the drying process. Due to the customer’s request to avoid additional sheetrock removal, the walls were carefully cleaned and wiped down. To dry the affected area, we placed one Drymax XL dehumidifier, one X-Power axial air mover, and one air scrubber.
After closely monitoring the moisture levels over the following days in, the area was fully dried within two additional days.
