Job completed for Linda G.- Bathtub leak water damage restoration in baton rouge
Completion date: November 3, 2026
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Why did the customer contact us?
The homeowner contacted United Fire & Water after discovering a slab leak that caused water damage throughout multiple rooms of the home. A United Fire & Water restoration professional arrived onsite while licensed plumbers were performing repairs to the leaking plumbing line. During the initial inspection, our team identified extensive water damage affecting the bathroom, office, bedroom hallway, and living room. Due to the extent of the moisture damage, the baseboards and molding throughout the bathroom required removal, along with affected flooring in the office, bedroom hallway, and living room.
Solutions provided:
During the water damage demolition process, our technicians discovered microbial growth in the affected areas. To help prevent cross-contamination, our team established containment barriers and installed air scrubbers to assist with airborne particle control. These measures were implemented as part of the mold remediation and water damage mitigation process to help maintain a controlled work environment while removing affected materials.
In the master bathroom, our restoration team carefully detached the countertops and removed water-damaged cabinetry to access the affected areas. We also performed a two-foot flood cut to remove compromised drywall and expose the wall cavities for further mitigation. Through professional water damage restoration, controlled demolition, and microbial remediation procedures, United Fire & Water worked to address the damage caused by the slab leak and prepare the affected areas for the next phase of restoration, with the goal of returning the home to its pre-loss condition.
