A commercial property in Baton Rouge, LA required emergency water extraction services after water began coming up through the flooring in multiple areas of the building. 💧🏢 At the time of arrival, the exact source of the water intrusion had not yet been confirmed, but immediate mitigation was necessary to prevent further damage to the property.

After inspection, it was determined that the issue originated from water backflowing into the building due to an overflow from the gutter system. Because of the severity of the intrusion, an after-hours emergency response was performed to quickly remove standing water and stabilize the affected areas. Our team extracted the water from the flooring and surrounding surfaces to reduce the risk of additional structural damage and moisture-related issues. During the mitigation process, we recommended removing the rubber cove base in affected areas to allow for better airflow and proper drying of trapped moisture. Although no drying equipment was left onsite at that time, all standing water was successfully extracted, and the affected areas were stabilized.
