Job completed for Ouzts-water damage restoration
Completion date: January 16, 2024
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Why did the customer contact us?
A residential property in Baton Rouge, LA experienced water damage originating from a neighboring unit, which impacted the master bedroom closet, kitchen cabinetry, and surrounding flooring. Water intrusion spread into multiple areas, requiring prompt mitigation to prevent further damage and potential mold growth.
Solutions provided:
Our team began by extracting water from the affected closet and removing the saturated carpet to expose underlying materials. Drying equipment was then strategically placed in the closet, bathroom, and kitchen to address both visible and hidden moisture. In the kitchen, an Injectidry system was planned to target moisture trapped within cabinetry and enclosed spaces. Baseboards in the closet were identified for removal, and sheetrock was evaluated for potential cutting depending on drying progress. Once moisture levels are brought under control, the affected areas will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to ensure a safe environment. This process prepares the space for necessary repairs and restoration. The project highlights the importance of addressing water damage from external sources quickly to minimize long-term structural impact.
