Completion date: February 5, 2024

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner experienced a water leak inside the wall that resulted in wet sheetrock and baseboards in the bathroom and adjacent closet. A plumber completed a re-route to resolve the source of the leak. United Fire & Water responded to this residential water damage loss in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to begin mitigation and protect the home—taking extra care due to the homeowners’ health concerns, as the husband had recently been discharged from the hospital.

Solutions provided:

Our team detached the vanity with the countertop still attached to access hidden moisture and removed wet sheetrock behind the vanity and in the closet. Damaged paneling and affected materials were carefully taken out to eliminate trapped moisture and prevent mold growth. Drying equipment was installed, along with an air scrubber, to improve air quality and support a safe environment during the drying process. This project highlights the importance of prompt mitigation and air quality control, especially in homes with vulnerable occupants. The affected areas were stabilized and prepared for drying and repairs. Water Damage Restoration – Baton Rouge, LA (Residential).
