TThe homeowner experienced a toilet overflow in the guest bathroom that caused water to spread into three to four rooms and several closets, soaking carpet, wood flooring, and surrounding materials. United Fire & Water responded to this residential water damage loss in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to begin immediate mitigation and prevent further damage.

Solutions provided:

Our team removed wet carpet and remaining padding, covered and protected contents, and placed a dehumidifier to begin the drying process. In the living room, we removed laminate flooring, baseboards, and quarter round to eliminate trapped moisture. Containment was built to reduce the size of the drying chamber and prevent debris from spreading to unaffected areas. All affected areas were dried to an IICRC-approved standard, then thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to prepare the home for repairs. This project highlights the importance of fast professional response following a toilet overflow to protect flooring, contents, and structural materials. Water Damage Restoration – Toilet Overflow, Baton Rouge, LA (Residential).
