Job completed for Rodriguez- water leak

Completion date: March 5, 2024

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer experienced a failed shower pan that allowed water to leak into the surrounding areas, resulting in wet floors and moisture-damaged sheetrock in the master bedroom and master bathroom. United Fire & Water responded promptly to this residential water damage loss in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, taking extra care due to elderly family members living in the home.

Solutions provided:

In the master bedroom, our team removed damaged and wet materials, including approximately 6 square feet of sheetrock and 18.5 feet of baseboard. The affected areas were treated with a bio-cleaning solution, and all exposed studs and sill plates were thoroughly wiped clean. In the master bathroom, we removed approximately 3.5 square feet of damaged sheetrock along with 4 feet of baseboard and shoe molding. These areas were also sprayed with a bio-treatment and cleaned to ensure proper sanitation. To complete the mitigation process, we installed professional drying and air quality equipment, including three dual axial fans, one dehumidifier, and one air scrubber to safely dry the structure and maintain clean indoor air. This water damage restoration project highlights the importance of immediate, professional response—especially in homes with vulnerable occupants. Water Damage Restoration – Baton Rouge, LA (Residential).
