Why did the customer contact us?
Water damage to wood floors and tile floors
Solutions provided:
Source of water damage is the supply line under the kitchen sink. The hose ruptured and hot water poured out of the cabinet and traveled throughout the kitchen into the dining room. Some water travelled into the small dining area, but the majority went into the formal dining room. Floors in the dining room are wood. Customer would like to dry them out and is not concerned about any discoloration in them. Kitchen cabinets around the source will need to be removed. MDF board is swollen. Water appears to have travelled under the kitchen cabinets across from the source. Customer would like cabinets replaced. Homeowner is David Castille who is the caller’s ex husband. Home and insurance are in his name. He is aware of the situation. Baseboards will need to be removed in the dining room and kitchen. One dehumidifier and 8 air movers have been set. There are some areas of the wood flooring in the living room that appear to have water damage.
