Completion date: August 15, 2022

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

The client called stating they had leaking behind the wall of their bathroom. They needed a cut into the wall so the plumber could repair the leak and needed moisture remediation.

Solutions provided:

Upon further investigation by a United Fire & Water technician, it was identified that the kitchen had an island sink that leaked, affecting the cabinetry and real wood flooring. The flooring was warped around the cabinetry. They removed the cabinetry toe kicks and set up drying equipment to dry out the cabinetry and dry the flooring. The bathroom walls were removed and significant mold growth was found on the interior studs. The ceiling was also noted to be peeling, after removal additional water damage and mold growth were found. All non-salvageable materials were removed, mold remediation was performed, and treatment was done to prevent future mold growth.
