Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner called stating the custom shower in their Master Bathroom had a leak.

Solutions provided:

A United Fire & Water specialist inspected the area and determined there was a slow leak that had been occurring for a long time. The leak was coming from the grout separating between the floor pan and wall tile in the master shower. Water had also seeped under the sill plate adjacent to the master bedroom affecting some of the baseboard and quarter-round. The water had wicked up the drywall at a height of 6 inches. UF&W removed the affected baseboards, quarter-round, and drywall. Also removed the door and casing. The specialist Hepa vacuumed and sanded the framing and applied an anti-microbial disinfectant. Set up one Velo air scrubber, one Xpower axial as well as one Phoenix dehumidifier to reduce moisture levels and remove particulates from the air.
