Job completed for Frank J.

Completion date: December 12, 2022

Location: Walker, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

Frank called needing help with water damage to his ceiling. He was unsure of where the water was coming from.

Solutions provided:

United Fire & Water sent a professional to Frank's home to scope the job and take infrared images to determine the source of the water and the extent of the damage. It was identified that the damage occurred from a nail puncturing the supply line from the water heater causing damage to the attic, attic insulation, framing, master bedroom ceiling/crown molding, and walls. Remediation included: the removal of attic insulation, removal of the crown molding and quarter round, and the door casing. A flood cut along the base of the affected wall was also performed. UFW set up drying equipment including a dehumidifier, air scrubbers, and axial air movers. Structures were treated with an antimicrobial solution to mitigate mold growth.
