The fire originated in the kitchen and caused severe soot and smoke damage throughout both the first and second floors of the home. While the kitchen sustained the most significant structural damage, all rooms—including the garage—were affected by smoke and soot. Our team was immediately engaged to assess the full scope of damage and begin planning for comprehensive mitigation and restoration.
Solutions provided:
To begin the fire damage restoration process in Baton Rouge, we have coordinated with IEH to perform professional soot testing and establish a cleaning protocol scheduled for May 1 or May 2. Contents pack-out is underway, with all salvageable items—including clothing and window treatments—being treated with ozone and sent for specialized dry cleaning. Artwork is also being packed and cleaned offsite. Once contents are removed, we will begin demolition of damaged materials and structural cleaning to eliminate all traces of soot and odor.
As part of the ongoing restoration efforts in Baton Rouge, LA, the home’s HVAC system will be fully replaced to ensure indoor air quality is restored. The garage, which also experienced smoke infiltration, will be cleaned during the pack-out process.
