United Fire and Water Damage of Louisiana was called to assess water and mold damage at a residential property in Baton Rouge, LA caused by a leak from a bathtub in an upstairs unit. The water intrusion had affected multiple areas, including the bathroom and parts of the HVAC system, prompting the need for professional mitigation services. The homeowner requested a comprehensive estimate for water damage restoration and mold remediation.
Solutions provided:
Our team performed an initial sanitization of the affected bathroom to begin the mitigation process. To help control moisture and humidity issues that contributed to the mold growth, we installed a new roof turbine and re-routed the vent duct through the roof for improved ventilation. In addition, Duct Dr completed a full cleaning of the home’s HVAC system to prevent further spread of mold spores and improve indoor air quality for the residents of the Baton Rouge property.
As part of the complete restoration plan, Mold Zero is scheduled to perform professional mold treatment on May 1, 2024. United Fire and Water continues to support the project by coordinating necessary repairs and ensuring the property in Baton Rouge, LA is properly mitigated according to IICRC standards. Our goal is to return the home to a safe, clean condition—working only for the property owner, never the insurance carrier.
